Paramedic assists with patient care needs as directed by RN or MD during the Emergency Department visit including performing 12 lead EKGs, blood draws, and IV insertions. Ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies in each room. Assists the RN in daily equipment checks including defibrillators, refrigerator temps, crash carts. Provides direct patient care as directed by RN. Prepares patients for exams, specimen collection and anticipates needs of patients and providers proactively. Maintains a neat, well stocked environment. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients and customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with coworkers. Takes responsibility for self development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values. Minimum one year experience as Paramedic, hospital environment experience a plus. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients and customers.
1-3 years of experience Successful completion of Paramedic program required. Requirements BLS and Valid Ohio EMT P, Paramedic Certification
